The Asha Davenport Camp Retreat
July 20 – 22, 2012
Tamarack Resort, Donnelly, Idaho
A Retreat for Girls — ages 13-17,
and Young Women — mentors ages 18-25,
with a diagnosis of epilepsy.
This weekend retreat will offer the girls and young women the opportunity to share their stories, discover their strengths and give them tools to deal with the challenges of living with seizures.
Activities will include traditional camp fun, plus educational sessions on epilepsy.
Participants are welcome to bring a sister, cousin, or best friend to support them and share in the experience.
The retreat is generously funded by the Asha Davenport Memorial Fund, private donors, and community and national sponsors.
“Asha never let epilepsy stop her from living life to the fullest. She was a fun-loving girl who loved dancing, golfing, shopping, water-skiing, wake-boarding, tubing, going to the beach and hanging out with friends. She loved attending the University of Utah and was involved in school activities and her Pi Beta Phi Sorority. She enjoyed volunteering and was working with the International Rescue Committee, helping resettle refugees, in Salt Lake City.
Our family hopes that all of you precious young ladies will find this camp to be a very rewarding experience and that you are able to form lifelong friendships. Asha would have loved meeting each and every one of you.”
